You may not be aware of this, but while you play an instrument you are actually helping your body and mind with many things. Math, coordination, and skill are just a few categories playing an instrument can help you with. Reading this article can help you decide if you wanna go into the musical world.
MATH
Ahhhhh... good old math. We need it, yet so many people hate it! What if I told you there was a way to make this sooooo much easier than it really is? If you guessed playing an instrument, you've guessed right! Playing an instrument helps you count, without you even realizing it. Certain sheets of music included with instruments, such as section nine, help make you smarter. Counting is part of section nine, and you need to understand math for this to work. It all goes in a big circle, one thing leading to the next. It may be hard to believe but trust me, it helps.
COORDINATION
You may or may not be a coordinated person, so if you aren't and wanna be one, try playing an instrument. Music helps with coordination by using rthym and beat. For instance, if you tap your foot to a song, that helps with coordination. Though this is one little thing, it does a lot. Tapping feet keeps beat with the music, helping your undertsandig of coordination without you knowing.
SKILL
You're probably thinking, "Well, no duh it helps with skill. You're learning to play an instrument, that's skill!" Though this thought is correct, it's not the only skill you can get. You can play multiple instruments which, yes,is similar but takes a lot more of hard work. You can become a math master, (yes, again with the math). The possibilties are endless, as long as you put your mind to it.
Though it is different (and I did not mention it before), choir also helps. Click the different links to see how they each help!
